EU, Ukraine hold meet on ceasefire terms, outline some specifics

The EU/UK and Ukraine teams at the simulated Ankara, Turkey Ceasefire Summit met before lunch on Saturday and provided more specifics (and NO specifics in one instance) about how they will approach the ceasefire agreement.

KNN had learned from the USA that the EU was not a party to the negotiations with Russia and Ukraine about the territorial DMZ parameters and frozen assets (up to $300 billion) in the EU alone (England, Switzerland, etc).

With both EU and Ukraine complete teams gathered in one room, the EU lead said “We were not party to the ceasefire talks, but we will be part of the peace talks.”

When asked what the EU planned to do about the $300 billion in frozen Russian assets, of which they have not agreed to release any portion, the lead said firmly: “No comment.”

But the EU was forthcoming with descriptions of the extra humanitarian aid of food, shelter, winter support (heat infrastructure and structures, warm clothing) and psycho-social support it will continue to flow to Ukraine and to its returning children.

Ukraine spokespeople at the meeting gave more specifics about the return of the estimated 20,000 abducted children that, according to the U.S. will be exchanged by Russian non-combat forces and Ukrainian non-combat forces at a border.

The US had said that it would most likely make the return of the children a required precursor to the release of the frozen assets percentage it will release back to Russia.
